Vanessa D. Werts is a published author and emerging screenwriter. Her storytelling style is edgy, intimate, often controversial, and grounded in faith.
Vanessa's writing career began in 2007 as a correspondent for an award-winning online magazine. She worked full time in the federal government arena while pursuing her writing dreams at night and on weekends. With much dedication and passion for storytelling, Vanessa became a published author in 2009. Today, she has both fiction and non-fiction works to her credit. Vanessa considers Lies her favorite story. It represents a healing journey where divine intervention, love, comfort, and support are much needed. In the story, the Father's heart is on full display, giving grace and mercy for what many may consider unforgivable choices. In celebration of the 10-year anniversary of the story, Vanessa has revisited and refreshed Lies, adding and extending scenes, giving readers more of what they asked for.
Vanessa was reared in the south and served her country honorably on active duty for over a decade. A suburb of Washington, DC, is where she calls home.
